Chautauqua Road Band (CRB) is an American classic rock quartet originally from Southwest Iowa. The band derives its name from the famous Chautauqua Park in Red Oak, Iowa. Founding members were Mike McAlister, James Richards and Gregg Messer. Beginning in 1975, CRB played an extensive list of shows for high school, college, corporate and private events around the Midwest. For more than two years, the band rocked from town to town and gained a loyal following from fans that enjoyed CRB’s on stage chemistry and good time music. The band ultimately came to an end and went their separate ways to focus on college, careers and families. However, their love of music remained deeply rooted, and all three continued to keep their rock dreams alive by writing and performing music on solo projects.

Now after four decades, Mike, James and Gregg are reunited with a driving passion to play great rock music and build upon CRB’s original success. Joined by James’ brother, Paul Richards, the band is fully reloaded to rock harder than ever before. Armed with a dynamic arsenal of classic rock favorites from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, Chautauqua Road Band delivers an energetic live classic rock experience.
